SO, I just got my grubby hands on a the new album by Apocalyptica. z0mg! Such awesome stuff. I thought they strayed away from their classical side and have jumped into the hardcore style of playing which sadden me because it's not often you hear the cry of a cello, but meh, to make a cello sound like good if not better than an electric guitar? Go nuts. Two thumbs up for guys who showed the world there's more to music than how much one needs to cut themselves to feel.

I've been contemplating up and down the game of life. It's funny how much you hate your past, but it sticks so much on you that you can't help but appreciate. You are what ya hate, neh?
Culture in particular, always culture...
To live without money and be thoroughly happy or with money and always having a void that is insatiable? Not just cold hard commodified pieces of paper fueled by faith, but I guess you can say the cultural no-no's that combined to make materialistic wants like prestige, clothes, looks, and other bling bling goodness.
Sometimes I wonder wtf IS happiness. I'm torn between the instant gratification of this "American Dream" clashed with ideology of detachment, inner content, and that junk. I'm fairly convinced that the latter has been shared throughout the ages with the addition with the fact that the REST of the world shares that idea other than the west. I mean, c'mon, you have the ages and the numbers to back up this up, how can it be wrong?
Of course, a chunk of the world believed in the earth being flat and it is after all, an ideology. The Indians and Chinese who are stereotypically bunched into this idea, are quite opposite sometimes. Lavish houses, clothes, cars, blah blam bling. Ask them bout nirvana and dharma and they laugh. I would too trying to pay rent with kind words and feel good thoughts. Course, there are more to these philosophies than just a few named here and a few values and beliefs as well, but those are the ones that popped up for a bit.
Damn, I needa get myself to a party more often. Drunk once a week ain't cuttin' it G.

I've just wanted to ask you for your opinions on the shit going on in the middle east & what you feel about the soldiers who have been sent there.
personally i am completely against the wars & "occupation" going on over there, but support our troops since they're the ones out there getting killed, injured, and returning home with post-traumatic stress disorders. (granted, some soldiers are blood-thirsty and searching for action.... but all those aside).
